[edit] Male Cleric of Vhaeraun
Drow clerics of Vhaeraun are currently allowed to be played on the server. Keep in mind the following, however:
- "Your character would be killed daily. The Arelith module doesn't have sufficient support for this character concept, so don't play it."
- "Don't mistake "This idea won't work for Arelith" for "Your idea and your ability to play it is bad". No part of this is about any individual's ability or judgment. Some ideas simply won't work on Arelith, or more specifically will make Arelith a lesser roleplaying environment if permitted."
- "The question I ask myself is this.
- Will a male cleric of Vhaerun lead to a better or worse role-playing environment for the server as a whole?
- The answer is to my mind that it will very clearly make things worse, for a number of reasons. The top few are:
- ooc drama relating to the secret getting out
- no suitable place for the character to go as and when Udos exiles them
- diluting the very strong Llothite Drow culture that we have in place today and which provides a strong theme for players to play around.
- Variety of themes is actually -bad- for the server as a whole; RP is a lot deeper and more immersive if you explore a small number of themes thoroughly rather than having a clash of different ones. This is why (for example) we ban good-aligned Drow, and why we gave monster races their own starting city.
- You may disagree with me - but the above reflects official Arelith policy and hence disagreeing with it isn't going to get you anywhere."
